AFTERCARE

FWR_Header-aftercare.jpg

Reflexology is a powerful way of detoxifying the body, boosting energy and immune systems and increasing your ability to relax and heightening a sense of well-being.

To get the most out of your treatment, we recommend that you take extra care of yourself after your session with us.

Things to do

Drink plenty of water - this can really help your body to flush out toxins.

Avoid alcohol, smoking, tea, coffee and other stimulants for 24 hours.

Rest and relax - give your body time to adjust.

Avoid heat treatments like steam rooms and saunas - just for a day or so.

Things you might experience post-treatment

After your therapy, your body may continue to react for a short time afterwards - this is perfectly normal and are only temporary. They are positive signs that your body is responding to reflexology as toxins are expelled and your body recovers. They should disappear within 24 hours.

A frequent need for the lavatory.

Sweating or perspiration.

A runny nose and/or cough or cold-like symptoms.

Sleepiness or fatigue / trouble sleeping and vivid dreams.

A slight rash or the appearance of spots as the skin rebalances.

Heightened emotions, irritability or mood swings.

Conditions that have been repressed may temporarily flare up before they heal and you may well feel a little 'out of sorts'.
